Automatic SSL Certificate Detection Alerts Delivered Via E-Mail
No Setup Required 24/7/365 Continuous Monitoring

Prevent costly SSL Certificate expiration with automated monitoring that activates the moment you purchase. Trustico® Monitoring safeguards your search rankings, customer trust, and revenue by ensuring you always know when renewal is approaching.

Three-Stage Warning System

Trustico® Monitoring delivers expiration warnings at strategic intervals aligned with how businesses actually handle SSL Certificate renewals. The 21-day alert gives early notice for planning and budget allocation. The 14-day alert raises priority for team coordination and scheduling. The 7-day critical alert prompts urgent action when time is short.

Each alert contains complete SSL Certificate details, including the exact expiration date, affected domain, and days remaining. This approach provides multiple opportunities to renew without overwhelming you with excessive notifications. Learn About SSL Certificate Renewals 🔗

Wildcard Monitoring

Wildcard SSL Certificates (such as *.example.com) are designed to secure multiple subdomains under a single domain. When you purchase a Wildcard SSL Certificate, our monitoring system tracks expiration by testing the base domain (example.com).

This approach works because the Wildcard SSL Certificate is returned when we probe the base domain, allowing Trustico® Monitoring to accurately detect expiration dates and send renewal reminders before your SSL Certificate expires.

You'll receive the same proactive alerts for Wildcard SSL Certificates as you do for standard single-domain SSL Certificates, ensuring your entire domain infrastructure remains secure without interruption.

Provider-Independent Monitoring

Trustico® Monitoring tracks whatever SSL Certificate is currently active on your domain, regardless of which Certificate Authority (CA) issued it. If you have an SSL Certificate installed from a different provider, Trustico® Monitoring will still track its expiration and alert you accordingly.

When you renew or replace your SSL Certificate, the monitoring system automatically detects the change and begins tracking the new expiration date.

Server migrations, hosting changes, and infrastructure updates do not disrupt monitoring - the system adapts seamlessly to whatever SSL Certificate is protecting your domain.

Our service has been designed to offer Trustico® Monitoring for your domain whilst you hold any valid Trustico®-issued SSL Certificate, regardless of the SSL Certificate actually installed.

Real-Time Detection Over Database Records

Many providers send renewal reminders based on their internal purchase records. These reminders often arrive regardless of whether you have already renewed or switched providers. Trustico® Monitoring takes a different approach by actively checking what is actually installed on your server.

This means you receive accurate notifications based on real-world data. If you have already renewed your SSL Certificate, the monitoring recognizes this immediately and adjusts accordingly - no more irrelevant reminders for SSL Certificates that have already been replaced.

Reliable Alert Delivery

Trustico® Monitoring includes alert logic designed to notify you of genuine issues without false positives. Before triggering an alert, the system confirms the condition persists for several hours, preventing unnecessary notifications during SSL Certificate replacements, which can take time to propagate across global infrastructure.

Multiple validation attempts confirm issues before alerting. Temporary network glitches or brief server maintenance do not trigger notifications. The deduplication system ensures you never receive duplicate alerts for the same issue. E-Mail notifications are delivered to the contact address associated with your Trustico® order or account.

Included With Every Purchase

Trustico® Monitoring comes free with every SSL Certificate purchase, with no additional fees or separate subscriptions. Every customer receives identical monitoring regardless of SSL Certificate type or purchase volume, and coverage remains active for the entire validity period of your SSL Certificate.

Monitoring automatically begins shortly after purchase without configuration, setup, or integration work. Your domain is added to continuous 24/7/365 monitoring immediately - protection should be simple, not dependent on completing deployment procedures.

Search Ranking Protection

When an SSL Certificate expires, search engines flag your website as potentially unsafe. Browser warnings cause visitors to abandon your site immediately, creating negative user metrics that can damage rankings for weeks after you resolve the issue.

Trustico® Monitoring helps prevent these consequences by ensuring you have ample warning before expiration affects your search visibility. The 21-day initial alert provides sufficient time to complete renewals or replacements through standard business processes. Learn About SSL Certificates and Search Rankings 🔗

Existing Customer Import

Trustico® Monitoring launched on 1 January 2026, and we're rolling it out to all customers automatically.

If you have previously ordered SSL Certificates through the Trustico® platform, your domains are being actively imported into the monitoring system.

Existing customers will receive the benefits of Trustico® Monitoring without needing to take any action - your domains will be protected as soon as the import process completes for your account.

Variable Validity Periods

Due to automation and maximum validity periods upon issuance, the validity period of an SSL Certificate is variable, and the certificate may need to be reissued throughout its licensed lifecycle.

It's now important to monitor the dates within the SSL Certificate itself, rather than the license period purchased.

Public vs Private

We monitor installed public SSL Certificates. This means the SSL Certificate must be reachable via the internet on the standard HTTPS port 443 to be eligible for notifications.

Private, non-standard, and firewalled SSL Certificates should continue to be monitored with bespoke internal tools and reminder systems.

Support and Resources

Access support throughout your Trustico® Monitoring experience. Our customer service team is available for questions about expiration alerts, notification preferences, or SSL Certificate renewals.

Start Protecting Your Domains

Every SSL Certificate purchased from Trustico® includes Trustico® Monitoring at no additional cost. Whether securing a single domain or managing an extensive portfolio, Trustico® Monitoring ensures you never experience the revenue loss, SEO damage, and customer trust erosion caused by preventable SSL Certificate expiration.
